Unloading bikes into the classroom after holding a bike drive, where members of the community donated their old and used bikes.

We have been working hard on taking the bikes apart. We will be using parts from all of the bikes, to create ten usable bikes. Our class has been learning to take each bike apart in a way that does not ruin any of the parts. We have been thinking of ideas of ways to decorate the bikes and will be putting up updates when we have set themes for all the bikes.

Thanks to everyone who came out on friday and contributed to the bike drive. We received 25 bikes, along with many wheels. We really appreciate all of the bikes. We will be working on the bikes and documenting it, so keep checking the blog for updates.

Where Are Your Bikes Going?
Once the bike drive is over and we have received the bikes and bike parts we will be taking them apart, turning them into works of art, and then putting them back together as ten ridable bikes. Once these bikes are done we will be holding a art competition for ages 12-18 and the winners of this competition will be receiving the bikes. Once the winners have been chosen we will be having an art show at Wasatch Academy. In this show will be the ten bikes, along with the winning submitted art works, and other pieces that will be made from the unused bike parts. If you have any other questions come to the bike drive and there will be people to answer them, also more information and updates will be added to the blog weekly.

We will be having a bike drive on October 5th. it will be in Terrell's parking lot from 5:30pm to 8:00pm. Bring all unwanted bikes and bike parts. If they do not fit in your car we will provide a free pick up system. We need as many bikes as possible, so please spread the word.
